Part 3 / 11
The island grid
The grid is the limit you will meet first. It caps how many watts your switched-on rigs may draw together.
What counts against the grid
Only rigs that are switched on count. A rig that is placed but off draws nothing, so you can park a big machine on a desk and switch it on once the grid can take it. Switching on, placing a ready rig and starting an overclock all check the total first; if it would go over, the action is refused and nothing is charged.
Grid levels
| Level | Capacity | Battery | Price | Build time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 60 W | 1.5 kWh | Start | — |
| 2 | 120 W | 3.0 kWh | 40 Bits | 10 s |
| 3 | 200 W | 4.5 kWh | 110 Bits | 20 s |
| 4 | 320 W | 6.0 kWh | 260 Bits | 35 s |
| 5 | 500 W | 7.5 kWh | 600 Bits | 55 s |
| 6 | 750 W | 9.0 kWh | 1,300 Bits | 80 s |
| 7 | 1,100 W | 10.5 kWh | 2,800 Bits | 110 s |
| 8 | 1,600 W | 12.0 kWh | 6,000 Bits | 150 s |
Which level a ready rig needs

| Tower | 165 W | Level 3 |
| Twin | 290 W | Level 4 |
| Forge | 457 W | Level 5 |
| Summit | 581 W | Level 6 |
